A few days ago, two of our sons were snuggled up on the couch in their summer PJ’s (underwear), watching PBS as they sometimes like to do when they first wake up while they wait for breakfast. Then, out of nowhere, the five-year-old, Zack, says to his three-year-old brother, “Hey, Nick, smell my butt.” He then wiggles his butt up to Nick’s face whereupon Nick takes a whiff and says, “Yut, it melz yite poop!” (i.e., Yuck it smells like poop). They both burst into giggles as Zack says, “I know – I farted!”
