Periodically, I get a call from some person who gets my contact information from a few domain registrations that are under my name. They are mostly interested in putting advertising on the site they obtained my contact information from…I usually hear them out and politely send them on their way.
I just got a call from a representative from Domain Registry Support.

The woman on the other end wanted to send me a fax with critical information about my registration. I told her I didn’t have a fax line for this domain and asked her to send me the information in an email instead. She then said that their servers were being upgraded and email capabilities were not available at this time…
Seriously?
She then gives me the 800 number so I can contact them with a fax number when I’m ready…
That’ll happen. Stupid scam.
